What is the meaning of life?

        I bet all of you asked yourself in some point of your life 'why do I live?' and  'what is the purpose of my life if I am going to die anyway?'. Well, I certainly can't give you the answers, but I can try at least, to open your eyes to see what is really hiding inside yourself, inside your soul which is continuously aspiring to eternity...
Eternity...such a meaningful word, and yet we can't understand its mysteries.
       Many people believe  that we just live and die. Just like that.... But is it that simple?... Is it possible that we have the same faith like animals? ....I hope with all my heart that the answer is no. We are superior beings, we think, we create, we love, we have dreams and hopes. So, if our species is able to do such things, maybe our spirit is not so ephemeral after all. Yes..our spirit, because this is our true essence, the only thing that survives after the body returns to the earth. So the journey is just beginning ...
   Now let's talk about our relationship with Divinity. Did someone create us or we are the result of an accidental event in the universe? Life has taught me that there are no real accidents, that everything happens for a reason, so I tend to say that someone actually created us. It is a special bond that everyone should feel. It's like when you recognize  your mother's voice when you're a few days old or when you know that something is wrong with someone you love, just because of that strange feeling you have.
    The word 'God' means something else for each of us. This is  because we have different religions, distinct values and various ways of thinking. It also depends on our education, on what our parents told us what to believe in and WHY. But let's start thinking beyond any of these. God is for all of us the ideal example of humanity, the only men in history that had no sins, the only spirit so pure, that sacrificed Himself for all of us.
So now, isn't it fair for us to try to be more kind, forgiving and loving for Him?... Such a small price to pay.
   In other words, if we really believe in the existence of God, then we often think about the afterlife. Our bodies die, but where is the soul going? The answer is the same for all the people, even if we like it or not: in heaven or hell. What does this have to do with the meaning of life? Everything, actually. Because our life on Earth is just a drop of moments in the boundless eternity. It's just a test that lasts a few days or maybe a century...and yet it seems as short as a second. During this attempt, we have to do all we can to be good and  in the end all our efforts will be rewarded.
    So, this is the meaning of life for me: we live, we pass the test and then we go to heaven...or we don't even try to do this, we keep on doing bad things...and we pay the price of our actions.
  These are just my thoughts.
